What you should know before buying on Europe Packer: who sells, how results are ranked, what the service costs, what we check and how to report a problem.
Europe Packer is a marketplace: we do not sell any product. Each listing is published by a supplier company, whose name and country are shown on the listing ("Sold by … · professional seller").
The sales contract is concluded between you and that supplier. Europe Packer presents the catalogue, connects buyers and suppliers and, for orders, arranges payment on the supplier’s behalf.
A supplier can only publish once our team has reviewed its application.
The catalogue can be browsed without an account. Visitors and consumers see prices including VAT (French VAT of 20%); businesses see prices excluding VAT as soon as they have registered their company. The "from" price is the lowest unit price of the variants, quantity tiers included.
A consumer only sees suppliers that sell to consumers. A visitor sees all suppliers; those selling only to businesses are flagged.
The characteristics, composition, labels and documents of a listing are declared by the supplier. A listing written in another language is machine-translated; the "Machine-translated" notice says so and the original text remains available.
Quote requests are reserved for businesses. They will open soon: a business will be able to ask a supplier from its listing, or send a request to several suppliers at once.
Ranking happens in two steps.
First, matching: a listing only appears if it contains the words searched for, in one of its languages, and meets all the chosen filters (category and its subcategories, characteristics, materials, price, lead time…). It is enough for one of its variants to meet all the filters; the price shown is then that variant’s.
Then, the score: the matching listings are ranked by a score that adds up the criteria below, each with its weight. The same score ranks category pages and searches without words; relevance is then zero for every listing.
With equal scores, the listing with the lowest "from" price comes first.
Planned criteria, not yet applied: the buyers’ review rating (an average pulled towards the category average while a listing has few reviews, so that a single review is not enough to put it first), the number of orders over the last 90 days (on a logarithmic scale, so that no supplier dominates by volume alone) and supplier reliability (lead times met, disputes). They will be published on this page, with their weight, before being applied.
No supplier pays to be ranked higher. The commission paid by suppliers has no effect on ranking. Should paid promotion ever be offered, it would be labelled "Sponsored" and kept out of this ranking.
You can also sort by price, ascending or descending (on the "from" price of your display), by newest or by stated lead time. Only listings published by accepted suppliers appear.
Each listing suggests up to 8 products from other suppliers. To be included, a product must share at least one product type with the listing and belong to one of its categories or one of their subcategories.
The products included are ranked by points, according to the criteria below.
With equal points, the product with the lowest "from" price comes first. No supplier pays to appear among similar products.
"Compare in search" opens the search filtered on the listing’s categories and types, with all suppliers.
Orders and online payment will open soon. They will work as follows.
You pay when ordering, by card or SEPA direct debit, through Stripe, a licensed payment provider. Funds never pass through a Europe Packer account: they remain held on the supplier’s Stripe account.
The supplier is paid once you confirm receipt, or automatically 14 days after shipping if you have not reported a problem. An order cancelled before shipping is refunded in full.
Using Europe Packer is free for buyers: you pay the price shown by the supplier and, where applicable, the delivery costs it states.
Europe Packer earns a commission on each order, paid by the supplier. Its rate depends on the product category, the order amount and the supplier’s activity. It has no influence on how results are ranked.
We check that each supplier is an existing company: registration in the SIRENE register for a French company, VAT number with the European VIES system for a company from another EU country. Every application is reviewed by our team before anything is published. A listing is only published if it is complete (product type, category, composition, price, and the characteristics essential to its type, such as the dimensions of a box). For certified labels (FSC, PEFC, OK compost…), a certificate number is required.
We do not check the accuracy of declared characteristics, labels and certificate numbers, nor suitability for food contact, stock or stated lead times. This information is provided by the supplier, under its responsibility. Documents attached to listings are provided by the supplier.
Every listing has a "Report this listing" link, open to everyone, without an account. State the reason (illegal or unsafe product, counterfeit, misleading information, questionable environmental claim…), explain what is wrong with the listing, and leave your name and email address.
You immediately receive an acknowledgement with a reference. Our team reviews every report diligently and objectively; it may remove the listing. You are informed of the decision and of the means of redress; the supplier is informed too, with the reasons for the decision.
A manifestly unfounded or abusive report may not be processed. For any question about a report, write to support@europepacker.com quoting its reference.
For an order, first contact the supplier. If no solution is found, contact support@europepacker.com: we can help reach an amicable settlement, and payment to the supplier remains suspended while a reported problem is unresolved.
An inaccurate, misleading or illegal listing is reported from the listing itself (see "Reporting a listing").
The ranking criteria and weights shown on this page are those the platform applies. Any change is published here before it takes effect.
| Criterion | Weight | Why this weight |
|---|---|---|
| RelevanceWords found in the name first, then in variants, types, categories, materials and characteristics, then in the description; failing that, a close name (typo). | 100% | It is what you are looking for: matching your words must come before everything else. |
These weights take effect on November 9, 2026, together with the version of the terms of use that describes them. Until then, the weights above still apply.
| Criterion | Weight | Why this weight |
|---|---|---|
| RelevanceWords found in the name first, then in variants, types, categories, materials and characteristics, then in the description; failing that, a close name (typo). | 60% | It is what you are looking for: matching your words must come before everything else. |
| Listing completenessSix criteria with equal shares: at least one image, a description of at least 200 characters, the characteristics recommended for its type, the composition, a lead time for each variant, at least one document. | 25% | A complete listing lets you compare and decide without waiting for the supplier to answer. |
| NewnessMaximum bonus on the day of publication, decreasing every day until it disappears after 30 days. | 15% | Give new products and new suppliers a chance, without lastingly disadvantaging older listings. |
| Criterion | Points | Why this weight |
|---|---|---|
| Per shared product type | 2 points | The type says what the item is (a box, a mailer): it is the first criterion for replacing it. |
| Per shared category | 2 points | The same category means the same use. |
| Per subcategory of the listing’s category | 1 point | Same use, but more specialised: slightly less equivalent. |
| Per shared material | 1 point | Matters for recycling and appearance, but the same use allows several materials. |
| Per close dimension (at most 20% apart) | 2 points | A package must hold your product: close dimensions make it truly interchangeable. |
